The Herb: Parsley
Parsley is a bright to dark green plant and has the flavor and aroma of "green vegetable". Parsley is the most well-known herb, and is used extensively in garnishing foods and flavoring sauces, stews and stocks. Parsley originally comes from the United Stated, Canada, Germany, Belgium Hungary, Spain and France. As early as the third century B.B., people used parsley to flavor and garnish food. The plant was often found among rocks, and therefore it was named "parsley" which came from the Greek word petros, that means "stone". |
