                Coriander is the dried, ripe fruit of the herb Coriandum sativum.  This light brown seed

                with its sweetly aromatic and slightly lemony flavor, can easily increase the appetite.

               Coriander is used in food such as lentils, beans, onions, potatoes, hotdogs, chili,

               sausages and pastries.  In Southern Asian cuisines, it is also includes in curry powders

               and masala.

              Coriander was grown in Persia 3000 years ago, and wasused to fragrance the hanging

              gardens of Babylon.
